The Neighborhood

The Cotton Mill provides the northwestern border of Cabbagetown, which is an eclectic community with a personality all its own. Carroll St. runs behind the property, which houses the majority of the neighborhood’s restaurants, bars, and other boutique businesses, each with its own charm and originality. Notable mentions are Agave, Carroll St. Café, Milltown Arms, Village Pizza Co., and Cabbagetown Coiffeurs.

Also within walking distance, Six Feet Under, Ria’s Bluebird, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, and Stone Soup Kitchen provide unique eating and drinking options, while Oakland Cemetery, one of the oldest landmarks in Atlanta, reinforces the historical significance of the community. Cabbagetown Park, host to the annual Chomp & Stomp chili cookoff and music festival is a quick walk from the back of The Stacks, as are several park areas in the area.

Within a 5-10 minute bike ride are Grant Park, Zoo Atlanta, Downtown Atlanta, Georgia State University, Turner Field, Inman Park Village, Little 5 Points, Glenwood Park, and East Atlanta Village. Additionally, the proposed Atlanta Beltline runs along the edge of Cabbagetown and connects the neighborhood to the inner perimeter of neighborhoods that comprise this revolutionary redevelopment project.
